Two Catholic schools, St. Mark’s and Ursuline, are among the 10 teams that have made the girls’ lacrosse state tournament. The brackets were released Wednesday night by the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association.

Ursuline is the eighth seed with an 11-4 record. The Raiders will open the playoffs Saturday at home at noon at Serviam Field vs. No. 9 Middletown. The two teams did not meet during the regular season. The winner’s reward is a trip to top-ranked Cape Henlopen on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Cape is the six-time defending state champion, building a dynasty well-known in the lacrosse community but not so much upstate. Ursuline met the Vikings last season in the second round.

St. Mark’s is the third seed and will meet No. 6 Caravel on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at St. Mark’s. The Spartans are 11-4 heading into the postseason and have won seven of their last eight. Caravel posted a 14-1 record this year; the two teams did not meet.

The other opening-round game on Saturday pits No. 10 Caesar Rodney at No. 7 Wilmington Friends at 3 p.m. The winner of that matchup will travel to second-seeded Polytech on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The other second-round game is No. 5 Charter at No. 4 Tower Hill, who will meet Tuesday at 5 p.m.

The semifinals are scheduled for May 21 and the final is May 26. Those games will be at sites and times to be determined.

Tickets for the first and second rounds are $5. The semifinals are $6 and the finals $7. Tickets for the final can be purchased at diaa.ticketleap.com. The championship will be streamed live at www.nfhsnetwork.com/associations/diaa for a fee. Postseason apparel is available at tournament sites or at diaa.teamip.com.
