For The Dialog
The third week of the girls spring season is loaded with key showdowns. The weather has produce a lot of rain with more coming this week but I hope they are able to play.
Softball
Monday
St. Elizabeth (1-2) at Dickinson (1-1), 3:45 p.m. The Vikings look for their second stright win as they start a busy week.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel at Ss. Peter and Paul, 4 p.m. at Talbot County Community Center.
Tuesday
Archmere (1-2) at Newark Charter (2-1), 3:45 p.m. The Auks picked up their first win against St. E’s last week but now faces a team that has beaten two straight top-10 teams.
St. Elizabeth at St. Thomas More (0-2), 3:45 p.m. The Ravens look for their first win as they host the Vikings.
Wednesday
Caravel (1-1) at Padua (3-1), 3:45 p.m. at Midway Softball Complex. The Pandas host the defending champs as they look to bounce back from a tough loss to Newark Charter.
Salisbury Christian at Ss. Peter and Paul, 4 p.m. at Talbot County Community Center.
Thursday
Delaware Academy of Public Safety and Security at St. Thomas More, 3:30 p.m.
St. Mark’s (3-2) at Archmere 4 p.m. The Spartans travel north looking to bounce back after a tough loss to Indian River last time out. It’s the Auks’ home opener.
Friday
Newark Charter at St. Elizabeth, 3:45 p.m.
Saturday
Archmere at Delcastle (1-2), 11 am
Padua at Wilmington Charter (2-0), noon. The Pandas look for revenge against a Force team that knocked them out of the state tournament last year. The Pandas second straight game against a top-five team.
Lacrosse
Monday
Polytech (2-0) at Ursuline (3-0), 3:45 p.m. The second-ranked Panthers travel to the No. 4 Ursuline to start a busy week for both teams. The Raiders play two of the top three teams, then three out-of-state teams.
Caesar Rodney (0-5) at St. Thomas More (0-1), 4 p.m. The Ravens look for the home win against their nearby rival.
Ss. Peter and Paul at Kent Island, 4 p.m.
Tuesday
St. Mark’s (3-0) at Ursuline, 4 p.m. The third-ranked Spartans travel to the fourth-ranked Raiders for a early season top-five battle. They are both coming off big wins as the Spartans beat Charter of Wilmington, and the Raiders beat Caravel.
Delaware Military Academy (0-1) at Archmere (2-1), 5 p.m. The Auks look for their 3rd straight win as they host the Seahawks.
Wednesday
Gunston Day at Ss. Peter and Paul, 4 p.m.
Thursday
St. Mark’s at Red Lion (1-2), 4 p.m.
Caravel (2-1) at Archmere, 5 p.m. The Auks host the No. 6 Buccaneers in a key showdown.
Friday
Ursuline (Mo.) vs. Ursuline (Del.), 3:30 p.m.
Mount Pleasant (0-1) at Padua (1-0), 3:30 p.m. at Mount. The Pandas will be the home team in search of their second straight win to start the season.
St. Thomas More at Smyrna (3-1), 4 p.m.

Padua (1-0-1) at Caesar Rodney (4-0), 6 p.m. The top-ranked Pandas head down south to face the second rank Riders in a rematch of last year’s state championship match. The Pandas are coming off a 0-0 tie against one of Virginia’s better teams.
Tuesday
Archmere (3-1) at Red Lion (1-2), 3:45 p.m. The Auks look for their fourth win in a row as they travel south to Red Lion.
Ursuline (4-1) at St. Elizabeth (3-0), 3:45 p.m. The Vikings look to stay unbeaten as they host the Raiders in a key showdown.
Thursday
Charter (5-0) at St. Mark’s (0-3), 3:30 p.m. The Spartans travel to the third-ranked Force looking for their first win of the season. The Spartans are playing their third ranked team of the season.
Delaware Military Academy (4-0) at Archmere, 3:45 p.m. The Auks face a tough Seahawks team looking for the Diamond State Conference win.
Sanford (1-1) at Ursuline, 3:45 p.m. The Raiders look for revenge as the Warriors edged them in the first round of the state tournament last season.
