The Knights of Columbus presented a new ultrasound machine to A Door of Hope, a crisis pregnancy center in Wilmington, on Dec. 12. The machine was made possible by the Christopher Council, which serves Holy Rosary and St. Helena parishes, and the Knights Supreme Council. It replaces one donated by the Knights in 2010.
Bishop Malooly was on hand to bless the machine. He said the employees of A Door of Hope were doing work similar to what occurred in biblical times, when Mary spent time with her relative Elizabeth, who was pregnant with John the Baptist.

“You support women much like Mary did Elizabeth,” the bishop said.
A Door of Hope has three locations in Delaware, in Wilmington, Newark and Middletown. They provide consultations and information; pregnancy testing and ultrasounds; an education and rewards program; and referrals to other resources for pregnant women.
