    Our Lenten Journey | March 12, 2015

“It is not enough for a Christian to condemn evil, cowardice, lies, and use of force, hatred, and oppression. He must at all times be a witness to and defender of justice, goodness, truth, freedom, and love. He must never tire of claiming these values as a right both for himself and others.”

    ―Blessed Jerzy Popiełuszko

Blessed Jerzy Popiełuszko  was a Polish priest who was martyred in 1984 because of his strong stance for justice through the Solidarity movement in Poland.

Today, let us pray for the strength to stand up for our faith, if only in little ways, to emulate the life of Blessed Father Popiełuszko.
