SCRANTON, Pa. – Sister M. Michaeline Macedonio, 91, a member of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, died April 8 at Our Lady of Peace Residence. A native of Oyster Bay, N.Y., she entered the congregation in 1947 and made her final profession of vows five years later.
In the Diocese of Wilmington, Sister Michaeline served as a teacher at St. Mark’s High School from 1971-74. She also taught elementary school, high school and college in Pennsylvania and New York, and was an assistant dietician for four years at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Carbondale, Pa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated April 14 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Residence, 2300 Adams Ave., Scranton. Friends may call at the residence on April 13 between 3 and 6 p.m., and a prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow, Pa.
