Sister Loretta Schultz, dies at 90, taught at St. Elizabeth High School

BALTIMORE — Sister Loretta Marie Schultz, a School Sister of Notre Dame who taught for 16 years at St. Elizabeth High School in Wilmington, died April 22 at Maria Health Care Center in Baltimore. She was 90 and had been a professed member of her congregation for 68 years.

Sister Loretta was a lifelong educator, spending more than 50 years in schools in the mid-Atlantic. She was on the faculty at St. Elizabeth from 1981-97, when she retired and returned to her Baltimore to volunteer as a tutor at a job-training and education center for economically disadvantaged women. She also ministered in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held April 26, with burial in Villa Marie Cemetery in Glen Arm, Md.
