Archmere goalie Meredith Wolak looks to control a loose ball during Thursday night’s showdown at fourth-ranked Caravel. The Auks held a second-half lead, but came up on the short end of an 11-9 score, suffering their first loss of the season after three wins.
Wolak made nine saves for Archmere. Presley Conaty led the offense with three goals, while Sydney Yanick and Olivia Baldi added two each.
The Auks, ranked fifth and third in the state in two polls, are home vs. Polytech on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
