“There is no saint without a past, no sinner without a future.”
― St. Augustine of Hippo
St. Augustine reminds us that we are all sinners, but also all capable of redemption.
Today’s first reading speaks of the redemption of sinners:
“If the wicked man turns away from all the sins he committed,
if he keeps all my statutes and does what is right and just,
he shall surely live, he shall not die.”
