For The Dialog

The boys’ soccer and football seasons are winding down, which means there are a lot of important games this week for the Catholic school teams.

Soccer

Tuesday

Charter (11-1) at St. Mark’s (3-7), 3:30 p.m. The Spartans lost to third-ranked Salesianum, 7-0, on Thursday night and now have upset on their mind at home vs. No. 2 Charter.

Archmere (3-7-2) at Conrad (2-9), 3:30 p.m. The Auks played both games last week to draws.

St. Elizabeth (6-4-1) at Wilmington Christian (5-3-1), 3:45 p.m. The Vikings are fighting for a Division II playoff berth.

Sanford (7-3-1) at St. Thomas More (3-9), 4 p.m. It’s senior day for the Ravens, who are thinking upset against the playoff-bound Warriors.

Thursday

St. Thomas More at Hodgson (2-9), 4 p.m.

St. Elizabeth at Dickinson (3-7), 6:30 p.m.

Middletown (8-2-1) at St. Mark’s, 6:15 p.m.

Saturday

St. Elizabeth at Salesianum (5-3-2), 11 a.m. The Sals have gotten back on track as they beat St. Mark’s and William Penn by a combined score of 12-0. The third-ranked Sals should make the playoffs with their national schedule, but they don’t want to lose their last two games.

William Penn (6-6) at St. Mark’s, 12:15 p.m.

Archmere at Dover (5-8), 7:15 p.m.

Football

Friday

Caesar Rodney (2-5) at St. Mark’s (5-2), 7 p.m. The Spartans are coming off a huge win over Salesianum, 28-21, on Friday night to put themselves in a great position for a postseason run. The Spartans’ Matt Williams has been great in his two games back from injury and he looks to keep the Riders’ defense off balance.

Salesianum (4-3) vs. Delaware Military Academy (5-2) at Baynard Stadium, 7:30 p.m. The Sals may need to win out to get in the playoffs and should beat the Division II Seahawks. The Sals got a good game from Colby Reeder, and they hope to get their pass defense back on track against DMA.

Archmere (5-2) at Lake Forest (7-0), 7:30 p.m. The Auks are playing well, which is good because Lake Forest is one of the best Division II teams in Delaware. Both teams are on track for the playoffs; this may be a first-round preview.

Saturday

Moyer (2-5) vs St. Elizabeth (2-5) at Baynard Stadium, 7 p.m. The Vikings are looking to get back on the winning track.
