The boys’ high school basketball season hits its first full week with some key battles involving top-10 teams.

Tuesday

Archmere (0-0) at Wilmington Christian (0-1), 7:15 p.m. The Auks open the season on the road.

basketballWilliam Penn at Salesianum (1-0), 7:30 p.m. The ninth-ranked Colonials open their season on the road as the No. 7 Sals look for a 2-0 start.

Thursday

St Elizabeth (1-1) at Concord (0-2), 5:15 p.m. The fifth-ranked Vikings are coming off a tough loss to A.I. duPont and look to bounce back on the road against a Raiders team that lost twice in a tournament in Virginia. 

Brandywine (0-0) at St. Thomas More (0-0), 6:30 p.m. The Ravens start at home attempting to build on the success of last season.  

Christiana (0-2) at St. Mark’s (0-0), 7:15 p.m. The Spartans open the season at home before playing eight straight road games.

Saturday

St Mark’s at Brandywine, 12:30 p.m.

Wilmington Friends (0-0) at Archmere, 2:30 p.m.

St. Thomas More vs. St Benedict’s Prep (N.J.) 5:15 p.m. at Chester High School (Pa.) in the Fred Pickett Classic.
