CLAYMONT – Archmere struggled through a 7-13 season in 2014-15, but the Auks have postseason thoughts dancing through their heads. The season begins tonight when Wilmington Christian visits for a 6:15 tip.
Coach Bill Ludlow said the Auks will be defensive-minded and play a grind-it-out style. “We have to get stops and rebound to be effective,” he said.
The Auks return seniors Nick Udovich, Robert Baxter and Noah Niumatawalu, along with junior Colin Lynch. Joining them are a pair of sophomores, Adam Barksdale and Ryan Walsh. Archmere plays in the Diamond State Athletic Conference, which means two games against a tough Conrad team. Salesianum and St. Elizabeth both visit the Moglia Fieldhouse, while Archmere will travel to St. Mark’s and Caravel. Ludlow’s team also will take part in a Christmas tournament at Garnet Valley (Pa.).
