The boys basketball schedule heats up this week with many Catholic showdowns.
Monday
Salesianum (5-3) vs. Dowingtown East (Pa.) (7-6), 5:45 p.m. at Concord. The Sals have won two in a row and look for a third in the Concord Classic nightcap.Tuesday
St. Thomas More (9-2) at McKean (7-3), 5:30 p.m. The Ravens’ hot start faces a tough test against a good Highlanders team that plays well at home.
St. Elizabeth (7-3) at St. Mark’s (8-1), 7:15 p.m. The Vikings lost twice last week and had trouble on the glass. The Spartans earned a nice road win but face a tough week with two rivalry games.
Friday
St. Elizabeth at Archmere (2-7), 6:15 p.m. The Auks lost a tough overtime game to Tatnall last week, while the Vikings look for two rivalry wins this week.
St. Mark’s at Salesianum, 7:30 p.m. This holy war match up has some luster this year as St. Mark’s is off to a great start and the young Sallies team is playing better recently. But tickets in advance and pray the snow isn’t too bad.
Saturday
St. Thomas More vs. Newark Tech (N.J.) (2-6), 4:30 p.m. at Pemberton Township (N.J.).
