Boys pick up with busy slate in baseball, lacrosse

The week in boys sports kicks off with some great action in baseball and lacrosse, starting this afternoon.

 

Tuesday

Baseball

St. Elizabeth at Milford, 3 p.m. The Vikings were no-hit a tough 1-0 loss to Salesianum last Thursday and are looking to rebound in the second half of the season. Milford is 2-7.

Salesianum vs. St. Mark’s, Frawley Stadium, 7 p.m. The Spartans are 8-0 and ranked first in the state after a 6-3 win over Caravel last week. They lost to Salesianum twice last year. The Sals are 4-3 but have won two in a row, including the no-hitter.

 

Wednesday

Lacrosse

St. Mark’s at Cape Henlopen, 3:45 p.m. St. Mark’s is on a roll, having won four straight. Cape is 4-2, with both losses coming to out-of-state teams.

 

Thursday

Baseball

Archmere at St. Elizabeth, 3:45 p.m. The Auks are 6-1 this year.

Lacrosse

St. Ignatius Prep (Calif.) at Salesianum, 3 p.m. This is the second California team the Sals have hosted this year.

 

Friday

Lacrosse

Brandywine at St. Mark’s, 5:30 p.m.

Baseball

Archmere at Caesar Rodney, 1 p.m.

St. Mark’s at Dover, 4:15 p.m.

 

Saturday

Baseball

St. Mark’s at A.I. DuPont, 11 a.m.

Salesianum at Indian River, noon
