Boys teams get busy after Easter break

The action in boys high school sports heats up this week with many top-10 matchups.

Baseball

Tuesday

Newark Charter (2-1) at Archmere (2-0), 3:45 p.m. The Auks look to stay unbeaten against a good Newark Charter team.

St. Mark’s (4-0) at St. Elizabeth (2-1), 4 p.m. The second-ranked Spartans beat the Vikings last week, 10-0, and look for the season sweep.

Salesianum (3-0) at Caravel (2-0), 7 p.m. The fourth-ranked Sals won three games last week, including two extra-inning wins. The top-ranked Buccaneers have looked good beating two out-of-state powerhouses.

Thursday

St. Mark’s at Archmere, 4 p.m. The Auks and Spartans always seems to play close games.

St. Elizabeth at St. Andrews (3-1), 4 p.m.

St. Thomas More (0-1) at Delaware Academy of Public Safety and Security (0-1), 3:30 p.m.

Friday

St. Thomas More at Delmar (1-1), 4 p.m.

Saturday

St. Elizabeth vs. Conrad (3-0), 11 a.m. at A.I. duPont

Salesianum at Sussex Central (0-1) 1 p.m.

St. Mark’s at Appoquinimink (2-2), 1 p.m.

Lake Forest (2-1) at St. Elizabeth (0-1), 4 p.m. The Vikings start a busy week looking for the home win.

Tuesday

Delaware Military Academy (1-0) at St. Mark’s (0-2), 3:30 p.m. The Spartans look for there first win of the young season.

Academy of New Church (Pa.) at Archmere (2-0) 4 p.m. The Auks beat second-ranked Cape Henlopen last time out.

Easton (Md.) at Salesianum (3-1), 6 p.m., at Wesley College. The top-ranked Sals face another quality out-of-state team.

St. Elizabeth at Caravel (1-0), 7:30 p.m.

Thursday

Friends (2-0) at Archmere, 3:45 p.m. The Quakers upset third-ranked Caesar Rodney last time out.

Glasgow (1-1) at St Elizabeth, 3:45 p.m.

Malvern Prep (Pa.) at Salesianum, 5:30 p.m. These two teams always seems to play overtime when they meet.
