End of regular season brings compelling girls matchups

The end of the fall sports regular-season is near, and there are some good games still on the schedule.

Field hockey

St. Elizabeth (4-8) at St. Mark’s (1-8), 3:45 p.m.The Spartans have picked up their play recently and begin a busy week at home, while the Vikings go for their third win in four games.

Tuesday

St. Mark’s at Archmere (7-4-1), 3:45 p.m. As the playoffs approach, the Auks look to end a two-game losing streak.

St. Thomas More (3-8-1) at Padua (10-0-1), 3:45 p.m. It’s Senior Day for the fourth-ranked Pandas.

Wednesday

Charter (5-6) at Ursuline (8-3-1), 3:45 p.m. Ursuline has won five of its last six.

Thursday

Padua at St. Elizabeth, 3:45 p.m.

St. Mark’s at Ursuline, 3:45 p.m.

Friday

Archmere at Charter, 3:45 p.m.

Saturday

Tatnall at St. Mark’s, 11 a.m.

St. Elizabeth (5-9) at Delcastle (4-9), 5:15 p.m. St. Elizabeth will shoot for two consecutive wins to end the regular season, then will wait to see if it has accumulated enough points through its schedule to make the playoffs.

Tuesday

Ursuline (8-4) at Concord (6-7), 5 p.m. A battle of Raiders starts a busy week for Ursuline.

St. Mark’s (7-5) at Padua (11-2), 6:45 p.m. The second-ranked Pandas are coming off a nice comeback win at Archmere and face a Spartans team that has won four of their last five.

Thursday

Delmar at St. Mark’s, 5:30 p.m.

A.I. duPont (2-11) at Archmere (11-2), 6:15 p.m. The Auks, ranked third, hope for bounce-back night after the tough loss to Padua.

Padua at Ursuline, 7:15 p.m. The Pandas try to avenge a five-set loss earlier this season against a Raiders squad that has been playing well. Padua has a chance to rest after this one before beginning the postseason.

Friday

St. Andrews at St. Thomas More (10-4), 5:15 p.m. The Ravens hope to win a third straight match before finding out their playoff seeding.

Saturday

Archmere at Tower Hill, 12:15 p.m. Both teams wrap up the regular season. Both will be playing in the postseason.

Ursuline at St. Mark’s, 2 p.m. This is the regular-season ender for these teams.
