For The Dialog
The spring regular season for girls ends in three sports this week, with possible first-round soccer matches to end the week. There also could be Catholic teams playing in the first and second round of girls lacrosse this week.
Softball
Monday
William Penn (6-8) at St. Elizabeth (5-10), 3:45 p.m. The Vikings finish this season with three straight home games on consecutive days.
St. Thomas More (2-9) at McKean (1-12), 4 p.m. at Midway Softball Complex. The Ravens look to finish the season strong.
Ss. Peter and Paul at Delmarva Christian, 4 p.m. This is a semifinal matchup in the ESIAC tournament.
Padua (11-5) at Delmar (12-2), 4:15 p.m. The Pandas look for the road upset of the third ranked Wildcats and help their seeding for the state tournament.
Tuesday
Archmere (8-9) at Delaware Military Academy (11-5), 3:45 p.m. at Midway Softball Complex. The Auks play their last game looking to upset the No. 9 Seahawks and finish the season with a .500 record.
Christiana (6-9) at St. Elizabeth, 3:45 p.m.
Padua at St. Mark’s (6-10), 4 p.m. The Spartans would like to beat their rival to end the season with a win.
Wednesday
Delcastle (5-11) at St. Elizabeth, 3:45 p.m.
Thursday
St. Thomas More at Newark (3-12), 3:45 p.m.
Lacrosse
The regular season ends Monday, and seedings for the tournament will come out Monday night or Tuesday morning. The tournament starts Thursday.
Monday
Archmere (13-1) at Tatnall (7-7), 3:45 p.m. The second-ranked Auks look to end the regular season with 14 straight wins as they are the hottest team in the state right now.
Ursuline (11-2) at Caesar Rodney (5-9), 4 p.m. The third-ranked Raiders look for another win as they get ready for the postseason.
Sussex Tech (3-10) vs. Padua (9-5) at A.I. DuPont, 4:15 p.m. It’s the Pandas’ senior night as they fight for a possible state tournament berth.
Sussex Academy (6-8) at St. Thomas More (2-8), 5:15 p.m. The Ravens look to finish the season with a win.
Soccer
The regular season ends Wednesday, with seedings for Division I and II to follow. The Division II tourney commences on Saturday
Monday
A.I. DuPont (4-10) at St. Mark’s (2-9-1), 3:30 p.m. The Spartans are finishing the season strong after upsetting a top-three Division I team last week. They play three straight home matches this week.
Sanford (7-6-1) at St. Elizabeth (6-7), 4 p.m. at Alapocas Run State Park. The Vikings look to end the season strong and maybe earn a tournament berth.
Tuesday
Padua (11-2-1) at St. Mark’s, 3:30 p.m. The top-ranked Pandas finish the season at their rivals, but the Spartans upset Appoquinimink last week, the same team that give the Pandas fit earlier this year.
Ursuline (9-4) at Tower Hill (12-1-1), 3:45 p.m. The sixth-ranked Raiders travel to the fourth-ranked Hillers in a key Division II battle as both teams could be fighting for a first-round bye.
St. Elizabeth at Delaware Military Academy (9-4-1), 5:15 p.m. at Kirkwood Soccer Club.
Wednesday
St. Georges Tech (8-3-2) at St. Mark’s, 3:45 p.m.
Ursuline at Mount Pleasant (6-7-1), 3:45 p.m.
