Pandas edge St. Thomas More in field hockey matchup

MAGNOLIA — Lindsey Dann scored twice, including the game-winner with 8:12 to go in the game, as Padua defeated St. Thomas More, 2-1, in field hockey Tuesday afternoon in Magnolia. With the win, Padua improved to 5-0 on the season.

After a scoreless first half, Dann found the back of the net in the first minute of the second half to give Padua the lead. St. Thomas More tied things up with 14:06 to go on a goal by Maria McGloin before Dann’s second tally.

Padua’s next game is Monday at 3:45 at home against Delaware Military Academy. The Pandas play at Forbes Field, which is located at the intersection of Thompson Bridge and Woodlawn roads. St. Thomas More fell to 2-1. The Ravens will host Wilmington Christian on Friday at 4 p.m.
