The second full week of May means the spring sports regular seasons are winding down. This week brings many critical games as teams fight for state tournament berths and seedings.
Softball
Monday
Newark Charter (10-2) at St. Mark’s (5-8), 3:45 p.m. The Spartans look for the home upset of the sixth-ranked Patriots as the Spartans have faced three straight ranked opponents.

Archmere (6-8) at Bohemia Manor (Md.) (10-2), 7 p.m. The Auks battle for their third straight win, but it won’t be easy against a quality out-of-state opponent.

Padua (9-4) at St. Elizabeth (5-8), 3:45 p.m. The Vikings look to end a five-game losing streak, while the Pandas aim to bounce back after a tough loss to Milford last time out.

Archmere (10-1) at Sussex Tech (3-8), 5:30 p.m. The third-ranked Auks look for their 11th straight win as they start a busy week.

Delaware Military Academy (7-3-1) at St. Mark’s (1-7-1), 3:45 p.m. The Spartans start a busy week as they play four matches, including three against ranked teams. DMA is ranked fifth in Division II.
Padua (9-2-1) at Wilmington Charter (9-2), 3:45 p.m. The Pandas look to stay unbeaten in the state as they face the No. 4 Force, who have lost two of their last three matches. The Force play three straight Catholic teams this week.

Friday
Wilmington Charter at Archmere, 5 p.m. It’s senior night for the Auks as they finish the season against the fourth-ranked Force.
Saturday
Ursuline (9-4) at Mount Pleasant (5-6-1), 11 a.m. The Raiders lost to the top ranked Indian River team last match and look to beat the Green Knights.
