The latest snowstorm has forced local athletic directors to scramble to find open dates to fit in basketball games that had to be postponed. At least one Catholic school is taking advantage of the decision to push back by one day the end of the regular season to Feb. 20.

Salesianum at St. Mark’s, originally scheduled for tonight, has been moved to Saturday night at 7:30. For the Sals, this means they will finish the season with three games in four days.

St. Mark’s girls team was scheduled to play at Sussex Central on Feb. 13. No makeup date has been posted, although Central athletic director Brian Parker said he is working on a makeup date with Spartans AD Matt Smith.

Padua will host Appoquinimink on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. after Thursday’s snowout. It will be senior night for the Pandas.

The St. Elizabeth boys team will travel to Tatnall on Feb. 20 at 5:15 p.m. The teams were scheduled to meet Feb. 13.

For the second time, the girls’ team at Tome School of Maryland had its visit to St. Thomas More stopped by snow. The St. Thomas More boys were supposed to hold senior night on Feb. 13 against Salisbury Christian (Md.). Officials at St. Thomas More could not be reached.
