Soccer

Tuesday

McKean (7-2) at St. Elizabeth (5-3), 3:30 p.m. The Vikings got a much-needed win last week against Mount Pleasant and now face a McKean team that has won three in a row and looks good for a Division II playoff berth.

Delaware Academy for Public Safety and Security (1-5) at St. Thomas More (2-6), 4 p.m. The Ravens look to get their second win in three games with a win against a team that is coming off it’s only win of the season.

St. Mark’s (2-4) at Sussex Central (2-3-1), 6:30 p.m. The Spartans suffered a tough loss to Newark last week.

Thursday

Friends (1-6) at St. Mark’s, 4 p.m.

Saturday

St. Andrews (4-3-1) at Archmere (3-6), 2:30 p.m. The Auks have lost four straight and would like a win on homecoming weekend against a Saints team fighting for the playoffs in Division II

St. Benedict Prep (N.J.) vs. Salesianum (3-1-2) at Caravel, 7:30 p.m. Last year the Prep was ranked No. 1 in the nation, and the Sals shocked them with a 1-0 overtime win on the road. Salesianum is not as strong this year but are coming off an impressive win over Kingsway (N.J.), 4-2.

Football

Friday

Salesianum (3-2) at Martin Luther King (Pa.), 6 p.m. The Sals face another strong out of state team and this has the potential of being the NBC 10 game of the week.

Montclair (N.J.) at St. Mark’s (4-1), 7 p.m. The Spartans face a tough foe, and an upset win would help their playoff chances. St. Mark’s offense is clicking.

Caravel (3-2) at St. Elizabeth (2-3), 7 p.m. The Vikings are coming off a nice win last week and now face the tough Buccaneers, who grabbed a win at Archmere last week.

Saturday

Appoquinimink (1-4) at Archmere (3-2), 4 p.m. This homecoming game for the Auks is important as Appo is a Division I team will provide much-needed points when playoff teams are determined. This past Saturday, Archmere lost a tough one to No. 2 Caravel, 23-13. The Auks got on the board right away as J.M. Nocket returned the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown. Both defenses were stellar. Nocket threw a 14-yard TD pass to Patrick Udovich with 13 seconds left in the half for a 13-3 lead. Trailing, 16-13, the Auks were inside the Caravel 10 yard line, but the Bucs Mandela Montgomery intercepted a pass in the end zone and returned it 100 yards to make the final Caravel 23, Archmere 13.
