As we are winding down to the midpoint of the basketball season, let’s take a look at upcoming games this week.  First the girls.

Wednesday: St. Elizabeth at Appoquinimink, 5:45 p.m. The 5-2 Vikings are looking to bounce back from their loss to Ursuline. The Jaguars are 5-1, playing well and should give St. Elizabeth a contest.

Friday: Glasgow at Padua, 3:30 p.m. The 3-5 Pandas ended a four-game losing streak last Thursday vs. St. Mark’s and look to start a winning streak heading into Saturday’s game at Archmere.

Ursuline at Concord, 5:15 p.m. This battle of the Raiders is one of the must-see games of the season. Ursuline is ranked first in the state and has a 7-3 record, while Concord is ranked fifth at 7-2. Two players who scored their 1,000th point on the same day last week go head-to-head in UA’s Adrianna Hahn and Concord’s Meghan Doogan.  This will be a fun game.

Archmere at St. Thomas More, 5:30 p.m. The Auks look to rebound against Diamond State Athletic Conference foe St. Thomas More after a tough week that included losses to Concord and Hodgson.

St. Elizabeth at Caravel, 7 p.m. Catch a doubleheader this Friday at this rematch of last year’s championship game; it should be one of the best in the state this season. Caravel is led by junior Micah Morgan and her classmates, Caroline Davis and Ky’Asia Stanford. The Buccaneers are 6-2 and have not lost to an in-state team.

Saturday: St. Mark’s at Cape Henlopen, 1:30 p.m. St. Mark’s looks to land a second straight win against the Vikings, who were 2-6 before games Tuesday and Thursday this week.

Padua at Archmere, 2 p.m. This make-up game from earlier this season means both teams will be playing on consecutive days. The victor will have a good win for the state tournament resume.

Now, let’s take a look at the guys’ schedule.

Tuesday: Salesianum at Tatnall, 5:45 p.m. The No. 2-ranked Sals should improve to 8-1 against the winless Hornets. Salesianum’s schedule takes a more difficult turn starting this weekend.

Wednesday: St. Thomas More at Delaware Military Academy, 6:15 p.m. The Ravens, coming off a 57-40 loss Monday at Lake Forest, face a tough road DSAC road battle against the Seahawks.

Thursday: St. Elizabeth at Sanford, 5 p.m. The Vikings will have their hands full against the top-ranked Warriors.

Friday: St. Thomas More at Archmere, 6:15 p.m. Archmere hosts conference rival St. Thomas More. The Auks have posted some impressive wins and are 7-1 on the season.

Saturday: Wilmington Christian at Archmere, 12:15 p.m. The Auks host their second straight game after four in a row on the road. The Warriors were 4-5 heading into their game Tuesday night.

Salesianum at Sussex Tech, 4 p.m. This will be a tough road test for the Sals. Sussex Tech is 7-2 this year and gave the Sals all they could handle last year at Salesianum.

St. Elizabeth at Milford, 4:15 p.m. St. Elizabeth is the first New Castle County team on Milford’s schedule.

St. Mark’s at Dover, 5 p.m. The Spartans face another downstate team after defeating Sussex Central on Monday. This is 7-1 St. Mark’s first true road game of the season.
