The boys’ fall sports season has a few weeks left, and while every game is important, they get magnified at this time of year.
Soccer
Tuesday
St. Thomas More (1-10) at Red Lion (4-7), 4 p.m.
Archmere (7-4) at Glasgow (6-5), 6:30 p.m. A road win would help the Auks’ postseason aspirations.
Charter (7-3) at St. Mark’s (6-4), 6:45 p.m. The Spartans are coming off a great effort in a 1-0 loss to No. 1 Salesianum and now gets Division I’s fourth-ranked team. Charter ended a three-game skid in its last outing.
Thursday
Brandywine (5-5) at St. Elizabeth (5-6), 3:30 p.m. St. Elizabeth will try to stop a three-game losing streak.
St. Thomas More at Delaware Academy of Public Safety and Security (0-10), 4 p.m.
St. Mark’s at Middletown (5-6-1), 6:15 p.m.
Friday
Salesianum (8-3-1) at Milton Wright (Md.), 5:30 p.m. The Sals will enter this contest after a well-deserved rest. The defeated Appoquinimink, 1-0, on Saturday.
Saturday
Dover (4-4) at Archmere, noon. The homecoming festivities include a visit from the Senators.
St. Mark’s at William Penn (7-4), 12:30 p.m.
Football
Friday
St. Georges (5-1) at St. Mark’s (3-3), 7 p.m. After a big win at Caravel last week, St. Mark’s faces Division II’s No. 1 team, the Hawks. A win would go a long way toward helping the Spartans reach the postseason.
Dover (3-3) at Salesianum (5-1), 7:30 p.m. Sallies’ seniors want to go out with a win in their final home regular-season game. Plenty of alumni figure to be in the stands for the Sals’ homecoming.
Saturday
Conrad (5-1) at Archmere (2-4), 2 p.m. Another homecoming takes place in Claymont, where the wacky Division II playoff race could be affected by an Auks upset.
A.I. duPont (2-4) at St. Elizabeth (2-4), 7 p.m., Baynard Stadium. A win by St. Elizabeth would earn the Vikings six points toward a postseason berth.
