Week offers first look at several girls basketball teams

The girls’ high school season has kicked off with a bang, and we have some big early season matchups this week.

Monday

St. Elizabeth (0-0) at Caesar Rodney (3-0), 7:15 p.m. The third-ranked Vikings finally basketballopen the season on the road against the No. 7 Riders. CR has been good this year and would love the home upset.

Tuesday

Padua (0-1) at Tatnall (2-1), 3:45 p.m. The Pandas start a tough week with a road contest against a good Hornets team.

Seaford (0-2) at St. Thomas More (1-1), 4 p.m. The Ravens look to bounce back with a home win over the Jays.

Conrad (4-0) at Archmere (4-0), 6:15 p.m. The fifth-ranked Auks host fourth-ranked Conrad in a key conference showdown of undefeated teams. Conrad won 2 games in D.C. over the weekend, while the Auks’ defense is keying their 4-0 start.

Brandywine (0-3) at St. Mark’s (0-1), 7:15 p.m. The Spartans look to win their home opener and bounce back from a loss to Archmere last week.

Ursuline (1-1) at Dover (1-2), 7:15 p.m. No. 1 Ursuline split a pair of games against top teams in the nation over the weekend.

Thursday

St. Marks at Concord (1-0), 5:15 p.m. 

Archmere at Brandywine, 5:15 p.m.

Ursuline at Padua, 7:30 p.m. 

Saturday

Sussex Central (3-0) at Saint Elizabeth, 1:15 p.m.

St. Thomas More vs. Willingboro (N.J.), 4:30 p.m. at Trenton Catholic Academy (N.J.)
