It’s the halfway point of the boys’ fall season, and the important matchups continue;.

Soccer

Monday

Kingsway (N.J.) (4-3-1) at Salesianum (5-1-1), 4 p.m. at Kirkwood Soccer Club. The top-ranked Sals begin a three-game stretch against tough New Jersey competition.

Tuesday

Conrad (2-4) at Archmere (5-2), 3:45 p.m. The Auks are coming off a tough 1-0 loss against St. Mark’s. Conrad has won two straight.

Newark (5-1) at St. Mark’s (4-1), 3:45 p.m. The Yellow Jackets have won five straight.

St. Elizabeth (4-3) at Sanford (1-4), 4 p.m. The Vikings will try to get on the winning track after two consecutive losses.

Delmar (1-5-1) at St. Thomas More (1-7), 4 p.m.

Thursday

St. Mark’s at St. Elizabeth, 3:45 p.m.

Saturday

Newark Charter (5-3) at St. Mark’s, 12:30 p.m.

Archmere at St. Andrews (5-0), 1 p.m.

Salesianum at St. Benedict’s Prep (N.J.), 7 p.m., at Overpeck Park. St. Benedict’s is ranked No. 1 in the USA Today/National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s latest poll, with the Sals just outside the top 25. Salesianum defeated No. 1 Prep two years ago in New Jersey but lost to them last year in Wilmington.

 

Football

Friday

Delaware Military Academy (4-0) at St. Mark’s (2-2), 7 p.m. The Spartans have won two straight, but this will be a critical test. This game begins a run of four games against teams currently ranked in the top six in Division II. St. Mark’s is currently fifth.

Archmere (1-3) at Caravel (1-3), 7 p.m. Both teams are coming off tough home losses and need wins to boost their playoff hopes.

Middletown (3-1) at Salesianum (3-1), 7:30 p.m. The second-ranked Cavaliers travel to Baynard Stadium to meet the second-ranked Sals, who dropped a 14-7 decision over the weekend at Father Judge (Pa.).

Saturday

St. Elizabeth (1-3) at Wilmington Friends (3-0), 2 p.m. The Vikings seek to rebound from a 22-21 loss to DMA on Sunday. Friends plays a rain-delayed game against Red Lion today.
