Now that the holiday is over, we will see a busy week of girls sports. Let’s take a look at the action.
Monday
Soccer
Sussex Tech vs. Padua, Hockessin Soccer Club, 3:30 p.m. The Pandas are 7-0-1 on the season after a 1-1 tie against a team from North Carolina last week. Tech is 7-1 on the season and will try to give the defending champs their first loss this year.
Ursuline at McKean, 3:30 p.m. The Raiders have lost four in a row and look to get back on track against a 1-6 McKean team.
Polytech at Archmere, 3:45 p.m. The Auks are 8-0 on the season and look for win number nine against a Polytech team that has won four in a row.
St. Mark’s at St. Georges Tech, 3:45 p.m. The Spartans look for a win to get back on track after a couple of losses to Padua and A.I. DuPont.
Softball
Padua at Concord, 3:45 p.m. The Pandas are coming off a tough 2-1 lost to Sussex Tech on Saturday but are still 6-3 on the season. Concord is 7-3 and also coming off a loss to Caesar Rodney.
St. Elizabeth at Dickinson, 3:45 p.m. The Vikings got their first win of the year on Saturday and look for two in a row against 0-8 Dickinson.
Lacrosse
St. Mark’s at Appoquinimink, 4 p.m. The Spartans look to end a five-game losing streak against a 4-6 Jags team.
Tuesday
Lacrosse
Archmere at Tower Hill, 3:30 p.m. The 8-1 Auks travel to the 7-3 Hillers in an important matchup of top-five teams. Archmere goes for the road win in the first of a couple big matches this week.
Sussex Tech at Ursuline, 3:45 p.m. The undefeated Raiders, who are 6-0, have been off for 17 days but they will make that up this week with four games this week. Sussex Tech has won its last five.
