As boys’ season nears end, important games remain

The regular season ends on Feb. 24, which means it is crunch time as the playoffs approach. Some big games remain this week.

Wednesday

St. Elizabeth (11-5) at Archmere (5-11), 6:15 p.m. The fourth-ranked Vikings are looking to right the ship after home losses last week to St. Mark’s and Smyrna.

basketballDickinson (8-8) at St. Thomas More (12-5), 5 p.m. It’s Senior Night for the 10th-ranked Ravens, who have lost three of their last four.

Thursday

St. Elizabeth at Wilmington Charter, 5:30 p.m.

Archmere at Newark Charter, 6:30 p.m.

St. Mark’s at Delcastle (11-5), 5:30 p.m.

Smyrna (14-3) at Salesianum (10-7), 7:30 p.m. Salesianum faces another top-5 team at home as the team looks for that signature win.

Friday

Delaware Academy of Public Safety and Security (7-6) at St. Thomas More, 6:30 p.m.

Saturday

Archmere at Wilmington Christian (4-15), 2 p.m.

Appoquinimink (10-6) at St. Elizabeth, 3 p.m. It’s another tough battle for the Vikings. Two of the state’s best players – St. Elizabeth’s Jordan Money and Appo’s Myles Cale – will be on display as both squads seek an important win.

Middletown (9-7) at St. Mark’s, 7:15 p.m. It’s Senior Night for the Spartans.

Sussex Tech (0-17) at Salesianum, 7:30 p.m. The Sals celebrate their Senior Night.

St. Mark’s and Salesianum both played on Feb. 16. The Spartans defeated Wilmington Charter, 50-20, behind 15 points from Jamai Rice and 10 from Chris Ludman. Salesianum also won, defeating Wilmington Friends, 58-37. The Sals’ big men, Tariq Ingraham and Paul Brown, had 16 and 15 points, respectively.
