Girls sports continue march toward postseason in very busy week

We’ve reached the first week of May, and as the spring sports postseason nears there are a lot of important games on the schedule.
Softball
Monday
Padua(7-3) at Archmere (4-7), 3:45 p.m. The seventh-ranked Pandas have struggled offensively last couple times out. The Auks look to end a four-game losing streak. Both lost to Delaware Military Academy in their most recent outings.

Ss. Peter and Paul at Holly Grove Christian, 4 p.m.
Tuesday
Newark Charter (8-1) at Archmere, 3:45 p.m. The second-ranked Patriots invade Claymont as the Auks look for the home upset.
St. Elizabeth (5-4) at Red Lion (8-3), 3:45 p.m. The Vikings look for the road upset of the ninth-ranked Lions.
Delmarva Christian at Ss. Peter and Paul, 4 p.m. at Talbot Community Center.
Wednesday
Ss. Peter and Paul at Salisbury Christian, 4 p.m.
St. Elizabeth at Padua, 4:15 p.m.
Thursday
Milford (5-4) at Padua, 3:45 p.m. 
Lake Forest (8-2) at St. Mark’s, 4 p.m. The Spartans host third-ranked Lake Forest looking for the home upset in a battle of the Spartans.
Ss. Peter and Paul (Md.) at St. Thomas More (1-5), 4 p.m. The Ravens look for their second straight win.
Seaford (0-6) at St. Thomas More, 5:30 p.m.

Padua (7-2) at Archmere (8-1) 5 p.m. The ninth-ranked Pandas travel to Claymont to face the fourth-ranked Auks, who have won eight straight.
Friends (5-6) at St. Mark’s, 7 p.m. The Spartans get a prime-time match with a tough Quakers squad.

Padua at Ursuline, 3:45 p.m. The second ranked Raiders host their rivals in a top-10 matchup as the state tournament nears.

Ss. Peter and Paul at Easton, 2 p.m. in annual Bull Roast. The Sabres take on their hometown rival.
Ursuline at Archmere, 2:30 p.m. The second-ranked Raiders and fourth-ranked Auks meet in a Saturday afternoon top 5 battle.

St. Elizabeth (4-4) at Caravel (7-2), 7:15 p.m. The Vikings face the third ranked Buccaneers looking for the road upset.

Padua (7-2-1) at Archmere (7-2-1), 3:45 p.m. The top ranked Pandas from Division I look for their sixth straight win while the fifth-ranked Auks from Division II look to end a two-match losing streak.
Ursuline (7-3) at St. Mark’s (1-6-1), 4 p.m. The Spartans have been playing better as they tied Archmere last week. St. Mark’s will try to avoid the season sweep from the seventh-ranked Raiders.

St. Elizabeth at Tatnall (0-9), 3:45 p.m.
Thursday
Ursuline at Archmere, 3:45 p.m. The seventh-ranked Raiders face the No. 5 Auks in a key Division II battle as the state tournament approaches.
Padua at Cape Henlopen (5-4), 6 p.m. An important match for the eighth-ranked Vikings as they face the top-ranked Pandas as they fight for a Division I state tournament berth.
