The new calendar year starts off with a bang with a lot of big games this week.

Monday

Caravel (4-1) at St. Mark’s (5-1), 7:15 p.m. These two teams are off to fast starts. St. Mark’s basketballsplit a pair of games at Disney World last week, including a win over a 9-2 team from New York. The Spartans are 3-0 at home. This is the only boys game on the schedule in Delaware today.

Tuesday

Salesianum (2-2) at Archmere (2-4), 6:15 p.m. The Auks always play the Sals tough.

St. Thomas More (6-2) at Red Lion (4-3), 6:30 p.m. The Ravens have had a nice start, while Red Lion is coming off a loss to third-ranked St. Georges Tech.

Thursday

Archmere at Delaware Military Academy (1-2), 6:45 p.m.

St. Thomas More at Milford (4-2), 6:15 p.m.

Friday

St. Elizabeth (6-1) at Salesianum, 7:30 p.m. The Vikings struggled in a loss to second-ranked Mount Pleasant at Slam Dunk to the Beach, but they feature skilled shooter Jordan Money and a formidable supporting cast. The youthful Sals have talented big men. The best advice for this game is to get to Father Birkenheuer Gymnasium early if you want a seat.

Saturday

A.I. DuPont (4-3) at St. Mark’s, 7:15 p.m.
